We Have PFAS Treatment - Here's How It's Working So Far

Remote Class Using Zoom

 **New Course**MWWA Course ID#: MWWA 24-003

Many Public Water Systems (PWSs) are preparing for the possibility of having to install treatment to meet the EPA’s proposed drinking water standards for PFAS (expected to be final soon). Making informed decisions regarding what treatment technology to consider will be important.

This training will give attendees the opportunity to hear from several water systems that have already installed PFAS treatment. The presenters will share how their systems are performing, and provide insights, lessons learned, and important tips for other PWSs to keep in mind. MWWA Executive Director, Jen Pederson will also provide an overview of the status of PFAS regulations in Massachusetts.

 Learning Objectives:
Review the status of PFAS regulations and compliance in Massachusetts.
Discuss the types of treatment processes currently being used at Massachusetts public water systems.
•Learn about the important considerations when moving forward with a PFAS treatment system.

This course is approved for 3 TCHs (Training Contact Hours) for Massachusetts Water & Wastewater Operators. It will be taught using the Zoom platform.  Participants will need to have a reliable highspeed internet connection and computer device with both video and audio capability.  Please review our Student Expectations for Attending Virtual Training at  www.masswaterworks.org/education.
