Understanding Generational Differences in the Workplace

As part of our commitment to fostering a culture of mentorship within Mass Water Works Association, the PR/Membership Committee is pleased to partner with Jim Courchaine for an informal discussion to better understand how to effectively work with different generations within the workplace.  This discussion will address the generational differences of the current five working groups; Matures, Boomers, Xer’s, Yer’s and Millennials, and the newly named 6th group, the Plurals or Generation Z.  Jim will discuss what each group will do, won't do, will accept, won't accept, likes and dislikes, etc.  The reason this topic is so important to our industry is because of the disconnect between the generations.  We don't do a good job as an industry in communicating in general with each other.  We must begin a dialogue with each other.  If not, we risk a devastating setback in the way we conduct business in the future at all levels within a utility.  We hope you will join us for this informative and important discussion.
