Landscape Irrigation

Landscape Irrigation & Water System Management

 (MWWA Course ID#: MWWA 17-003)

This course will help the water manager answer questions related to outdoor landscape irrigation, including "Why irrigate?", "How much water do we need for irrigation?", What are the backflow prevention requirements for irrigation systems?", "What types of technologies are available?" and "What types of policies will result in the most efficient watering?".  Understanding the answers to these questions will help develop solutions for the upcoming peak water demand season.

 Learning Objectives:

 Understand how much water the landscape needs and factors that impact water usage;
 Learn about technologies that help manage water use;
 Discuss water system management tools and policies that produce results.

 This course is approved for 2 TCHs (Training Contact Hours) for Massachusetts Water Operators. It will be taught using the Zoom platform.  Participants will need to have a reliable highspeed internet connection and computer device with both video and audio capability.  Please review our Student Expectations for Attending Virtual Training at  www.masswaterworks.org/education.
