>>> In-person <<<Introduction to Today’s SCADA Systems(MWWA Course ID: MWWA 21-014, MA Wastewater Course ID: BC-2021-3620) The full potential of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) is often underutilized by many utilities. This may be due in part to a lack of understanding of SCADA basics or a reluctance to try out the many tools it has to offer. In this half-day course attendees will get an overview of how SCADA works and hear about some real-world application in local municipalities. Examples of the power of SCADA, from the simple to the complex will be provided. This half-day class is recommended for managers and operators who currently have a SCADA system and want to get more out of it, or for utilities considering new/upgraded SCADA systems. Learning Objectives: •• Review the basics of SCADA;•• Discuss real world applications of SCADA at water utilities; •• Understand the wide range of SCADA tools to make it work best for you; •• Learn what to consider for your new or upgraded SCADA project.
This course is approved for 3 TCHs (Training Contact Hours) for Massachusetts Water and Wastewater Operators, as well as Rhode Island Water Operators. Live in-person class!
