Become A Certified Flagger(Course ID: MWWA 24-008 / MA Wastewater: BC-2024-33837)Many utilities are finding it increasingly difficult to obtain police details on roadway projects. This is especially problematic when emergency repairs are needed, putting the safety of both the public and the utility workers in jeopardy. This half day course will provide Flagger Certification to individuals conducting flagging operations on the roads in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The course will be taught by Catherine Schoenenberger President and owner of Stay Safe Traffic Products. Ms. Schoenenberger is one of eight MassDOT-approved certified flagging instructors in the Commonwealth. All attendees will be provided with American Traffic Safety Service Association (ATSSA) training booklets and pocket guide. Individuals that successfully complete this training will be issued flagger certification which is valid for 2 years. This training is approved for 3.0 TCHs (Training Contact Hours) for both MA water and wastewater operators.

ATTENDANCE & TCH POLICY: Full payment must be received, and attendees must attend 90% of the program and complete an evaluation form to receive TCHs. NO SHOWS OR CANCELLATIONS WITH LESS THAN 7 DAYS NOTICE WILL BE CHARGED A $115 CANCELLATION FEE.
TCH certificates will be issued only when full payment is received.

Additional individuals can be added to the waitlist using the link below. MWWA will contact individuals on the waitlist on a first-come first-served basis to allow additional registrations.
