Automatic Control Valves – Making Them Work For You(MWWA Course: MWWA 20-007, MA Wastewater: BC-2020-3552) For decades water utilities have incorporated automatic control valves in a variety of water flow and pressure control applications. Water tank altitude valves, pressure relief valves, filter plant and pump station flow control are just a few of the more common examples. In this seminar Pat Donnelly of Cla-Val will provide an overview of how flow control valves work and the best applications to more efficiently operate your water system. Information on how to properly adjust and maintain the most common types of valves will also be presented as well as new technologies in remote sensing and controlling capabilities. Learning Objectives:
This course is approved for 2.0 TCHs (Training Contact Hours) for both Massachusetts water and wastewater operators as well as RI Drinking Water Operators. It will be taught using the Zoom platform.
