Historical Use & Monitoring of Liquid Chlorine

(Course ID: MWWA 23-009 / MA Wastewater: BC-2023-3781)

This class will provide an historical overview of the use of chlorine and how it is currently used and monitored. It will cover some of the basic chemistry concepts as well as cover the regulatory requirements related to proper chlorination.

 Learning Objectives:

•• Review the history and chemistry of chlorination;
•• Learn how to measure chlorine residual;
•• Understand the regulatory requirements of chlorination.

 This course is approved for 3 TCHs (Training Contact Hours) for Massachusetts Water AND Wastewater Operators. Live in-person class!

ATTENDANCE & TCH POLICY: Full payment must be received, and attendees must attend 90% of the program and complete an evaluation form to receive TCHs. NO SHOWS OR CANCELLATIONS WITH LESS THAN 7 DAYS NOTICE WILL BE CHARGED A $40 CANCELLATION FEE. 
TCH certificates will be issued only when full payment is received.
