Automatic Control Valves (ACVs) are used throughout potable w ater systems from the source of supply, into the storage tanks/systems, and throughout the distribution system. ACV’s can help prevent surge and water hammer issues, control pressure, flow, and tank level, or a combination of multiple functions. They may also be integrated with the SCADA system to o perate and monitor remotely while helping to “balance” the system. New appl ications and functions are developed regularly for and with ACVs to help sy stems operate effectively, efficiently, and safely for uninterrupted water service.
