Disinfection Byproduct Sampling & Reporting for MA Public Water Systems (Zoom)
The Disinfection Byproduct Rule (DBPR) can be complicated especially when it comes to performing compliance calculations. This half-day class reviews proper sample collection protocol and all the nuances of calculating and reporting Locational Running Annual Averages (LRAA) and Operational Evaluation Levels (OELs) using MassDEP’s reporting forms. Information on the formation and control strategies for Trihalomethane and Haloacetic Acids will also be presented. The training reviews MassDEP’s Public Notice requirements including the Consumer Confidence Reports. Presenters will share important tips and lessons learned in order to maintain regulatory compliance. The focus of this training is on the common chlorinated DBPs of Trihalomethanes and Haloacetic Acids.
