New Technologies in Asphalt and Concrete Repair

Water and wastewater utilities must often perform small pavement repairs in a variety of conditions at any time of the year. Cold patch is the most common asphalt and concrete repair technique that has been around for decades. This class with present an overview of the typical cold patch repair technique along with an overview of a new type of water-based cold patch. The proper use of water-based cold patch will be discussed as well as the data from a variety of case studies.

Learning Objectives:

•• Review the common types of pavement and concrete repair;
•• Learn about the use of water-based cold patch repair;
•• Discuss the proper use and application techniques of water-based cold patch repair;
•• Review data from case studies of water-based cold patch repair.

This course is approved for 1 TCH (Training Contact Hour) for Massachusetts Water and Wastewater Operators, as well as Rhode Island Water Operators.

It will be taught using the Zoom platform. Participants will need to have a reliable highspeed internet connection and computer device with both video and audio capability.
