MWWA EDUCATION SEMINAR PRESSURE VACUUM BREAKERS: THE OVERLOOKED BACKFLOW PREVENTION DEVICE Course ID # MWWA 19-004 *NEW*The two types of cross connection control devices that can be used to protect against back siphonage are the pressure vacuum breaker and the related spill resistant pressure vacuum breaker. These devices have been around for many years but are not given the respect that they deserve. This half day class will address how pressure vacuum breakers, and spill resistant pressure vacuum breakers function, where they can be used, how they should be installed and how they are tested. The similarities and differences between them will also be discussed Learning Objectives:
This course is approved for 3.0 TCHs (Training Contact Hours) for both MA Water and RI Water Operators.
